Featuring.... Kate Broughton and her gorgeous new card ranges

I do love a bit of gardening, especially when the sun is shining, which it has been doing a lot lately. So I just had to show you the new garden designs of my friend, Nottingham artist and designer, Kate Broughton. You can have a look in more detail on her website here and also she has a blog on the website where you can find out how to get your green-fingers on some of her cards, brooches and badges for yourselves!!

Kate makes a range of products including cards, prints and bags from my illustrations as well as handmade felt brooches. Whilst working on her own ranges, she also work as a freelance designer on various illustration/handcrafted projects. She has always made things, as far back as she can remember she has been drawing, painting, sewing, knitting and a whole lot of other stuff besides. She grew up in a town called Otley in West Yorkshire where she did a lot of walking in woods, paddling in rivers, and birdwatching. This is where her love of wildlife began and since then it seems to have been a prevailing influence on her work. Kate graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2004 with a degree in textile design, specialising in printed textiles.

And I just had to sneak in a couple of her Retro Homes Designs. I just LOVE them!! You can see the full range here....
