Creative Twinning Event - Global Craft Conversation

Remember last year when I took part in some of the Creative Twinning Events in and around Nottingham? Well this year the Creative Twinning Team have been working hard to bring another amazing creative opportunity to Nottingham. This is an amazing chance to get to make your own opportunities, form your own links with members of the creative community in Germany and USA and also have your own work seen across the globe!! Wow, how exciting is that???

Here are all of the details:

Creative Twinning would like to invite you to a unique FREE event!

Designer Makers- Join Creative Twinning and Projector for a ‘Global Craft Conversation’.

Date: Thursday 10th October 2013

Time: 6-8pm

Venue: Broadway Cinema, Nottingham NG1 3AL

Free: Booking Essential

Creative Twinning and Projector are hosting a ‘Global Craft Conversation’ in

the heart of Nottingham’s Creative community.

In discussion with designers in New York, the conversation will focus on ‘Creating Your Own Opportunities’ in which designers/makers from all disciplines can discuss and exchange ideas and to transform craft practices.

With a Live-streamed 1 hour video link and discussion between the cities, followed by a chance to network and exchange ideas, you’ll have the chance to make those all-important contacts both within and beyond Nottingham.

That sounds great doesn't it? As well as the opportunity to attend the event there is also an opportunity to have your work seen across the globe too. During the Live 1 hour video link from Broadway Cinema to New York for a 'Global Craft Conversation' members of the creative community will be discussing how we make creative opportunities and Creative Twinning wants to give you an opportunity to be involved. I asked Jayne from the Creative Twinning Team to tell me a little about it and this is what she had to say....

'Creative Twinning and Projector at Broadway have invited eco-designer Lucy Renshaw to dress the room with The New York Sky Line in local design! We want to promote you and your work. Can you donate 2D imagery in the form of your design sketches, product photographs, photocopies, fabrics samples, design and product close ups of textures? All 2D forms are welcome from A4 – A0

The event and your work will be documented by Broadway Cinema - we think this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of this unique event and for your work seen in the UK and across the Atlantic!'
