Three great #twitter #chats

If, like me, you love Twitter, and love tweeting about art, design, and creative business, then here are some great #twitter #chats you can join. I've been taking part in the following ones on and off for a while. There's a great sense of community and everyone I have e-met so far has been just lovely.

If you aren't really sure what on earth I'm on about and are wondering what a twitter chat is, I will explain. Basically you can talk to other twitter contacts or 'tweeps' by using the hash-tag # and then the 'magic word' - and you can share a few hours of chat with other like minded creatives like yourself. I found this really useful explanation here courtesy of Janet Fouts.

#TALKT  - started up by my e-friend artist and fellow creative Sarah Hamilton of SarahHamiltonPRINTS, #TALKT or Take A Look Tuesday - is a promotional campaign by creatives for creatives. It takes place every Tuesday all day and will put you in touch with loads of other like-minded creative folk who will retweet and share as well as provide valuable feedback on the things you post. Just look for #TALKT and see where it takes you.

#CBUK - this lively tweet chat is hosted by Hilary Pullen from Craft Blog UK This one takes place on a Sunday evening from 21;00 to 22:00 GMT and covers topics such as social media, blogging, creative communities, imagery online, promoting yourself online,. It's really useful and full of great info as well as lovely people. Keep your eyes peeled for this one, it will be back very soon after the summer break.

#weblogdesign - my newest tweet chat discovery takes place on a Tuesday evening from 21:00 GMT and is aimed at bloggers who blog about all things 'design'. It is hosted by We Blog Design, an independent network that informs, inspires and connects design bloggers. I have taken part in a couple of their chats and once again they were very friendly and made me feel really welcome. You can become a member of WeBlogDesign, which gives you access to the tweetchat transcripts, member forums and loads of extra goodies: all of the details are on the website.

  1. Thank you - That's really useful to know - just need to try and remember them now - how am I going to do that?
